Am I dreaming???

Our first snow day??? Well, not actually, it's more like an ice day, but I will take whatever I can get. I was soooo excited to see Warren County TN CLOSED come across the screen this morning. I remember when I was a little girl, I would anticipate the snow days and watch The Ralph Emery Show with his sidekick Shotgun Red. Back then, there was no crawl across the bottom of the screen, so I had to wait and wait and wait until they were ready for Keith Filbry to do the Snowbird Report. I remember how happy I was then and nothing has changed! I got up this morning at 4:00 and began watching Channel 4, just as I did over 20 years ago!! If anyone else has any memories they would like to share, I would love to hear from you!!

Well, I may go back to sleep now, but I really doubt it. The dogs and I will curl up on the couch and relax until Arden wakes up! Then...who knows what we will do!

Keep flying Snowbird!!

Steve had the tv on at 2:00 this morning to see what the weather was doing, then again at 4:00. Maggie is up alot during the night. He was so excited to receive his phone call!

I remember watching channel 4 too. I loved seeing our county with the black background and the snow flurries falling. Now, it seems we are lucky to get a day off at all.

Thanks for jogging your mom's failing memories. I was always excited to hear that Warren, Tn. was closed. We could snuggle back into bed and enjoy the day. Sure did enjoy your visit this morning!
Love you much, Mom

Congrats to Arden. Kirby's husband is in my Histroy class on Monday nights and he told me she won. I know you are beside yourselves. Who wouldn't be, she is beautiful. I haven't even read the paper. I haven't had time to do anything. Thank goodness for snow days. I hope your doing well and enjoy your days off.
