A little school "bling"...

How pretty is this???? I asked Susan to make me a sparkly shirt to represent my EAGLES and she went all out!! It is gorgeous!!!! I love it and can't wait to wear it. (After the baby is born, of course! That shirt doesn't have enough spandex in it for me to wear it now!) If you haven't checked her out, you really need to, she is amazing and everything she makes is beautiful! Thanks Susan! I will be back for more soon!

Please keep in your prayers..

Morgan Mingle and Andy Dunn! I do not know the Dunn family personally, but being a mother, know how much I love my child and that is enough! Morgan's family is my family (Tish, Kirby, Regan and Ramsey) even though we are not related directly. I also teach with her Aunt Wanda and know how loved she is. Please keep both of these families in your prayers. They need them desperately!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I WON!!!!!!!

I got the bedding! I thought I was going to be out bid with only 20 seconds left, but I wasn't! I am so happy! Since the colors are official, I can get to work!

Thanks for all of your help with deciding! I hate making decisions alone!

GO VOLS!!!! #1

CONGRATS TO OUR VOLS!!!! YOU PLAYED A GREAT GAME TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So close...

Well, I got bad news about the brown and pink bedding...it too is backordered for 10 weeks. So I went on a mission to find something similar and this is what I found. It is online and I am bidding on it as we speak. I really like it more than the one at Penney's, so hopefully I will be the winner. The store that is selling it has alot of nice sets, but this one is my favorite. There is no "buy it now", so I have to compete to get it! That makes it a bit more fun than just buying it, right? Let me know what you think. And as soon as the auction is over, I will let you know if I won!

A little sad...but not really!

Mom was going to order the paisley print bedding for Channing and it is on back order for 10 weeks!!! We don't want to take the risk of it being backordered and then, as it has happened before, become out of stock. So I think I am going with the Chocolate and Pink. This was my first choice anyway, so I am not disappointed. I honestly liked it better all along, but being the non decision making person that I am, was influenced by my family. So for all of you who liked the paisley better, sorry to let you down. And for those who liked the pink and choc...WE ROCK!!! So Mrs. Brandie, it won't be Channing's Paisley anymore, it will be what we discussed initially. I can't wait to begin putting the room together!!

It's getting closer...

I went to the Dr. today for my monthly check up and as of today, begin my 2 week visits!! I am sooo pumped!!! This pregnancy has flown by and I have felt FABULOUS!! Today's visit was pretty uneventful with the exception of the glucose test. I had to get blood drawn, but the lady that did it, was so gentle, I barley felt the needle go in. I go back on the 3rd and then on the 17th, so hopefully everything will continue to go well. I have been so blessed to be healthy!

Now, I have got to focus on getting the nursey in order and ready! Right now, it looks like Toys R Us exploded in there. Arden has a million toys, books, dolls, etc. that I have got to move upstairs to the bonus room or the extra bed room before I can even begin to decorate. Mike will have to put the bed together and I have got to get a new mattress. The one Arden used was mine and I am pretty sure we trashed it. I have decided on the Paisley print for the nursery because it is much "happier" than the brown and I gotta have a "happy" baby.:) Oh well, I guess it's back to work tomorrow...unless Snowbird flies tonight!

Hope everyone had a great day off!

Happy Birthday Jenn!!

We hope your day was great!!!

Love you!

Tagged by Brandie...

My friend Brandie Mansfield at Dream Custom Artwork tagged me to list five things you may not know about me. I am sooooo very behind on doing this but haven't forgotten you, Brandie!! I, too, feel like I've already spilled it all...but in case I have left something out at some point here goes.
1. I hate ironing!!!! No, actually it's more like I LOATHE ironing!!! My mom always does it for me because she knows more than likely, I will let it pile up until I have nothing else to wear!!
2. I can't stand pack rats. About once a month, I go through the house on a tangent and will pack stuff up to be tossed or donated. I keep nothing!!
3. I have built 2 houses in the same neighborhood. Mike and I built our first house in 2003, sold it 2 years later and built another one just right up the street. I have moved alot since I went to college. I am one of those people who doesn't mind it; especially when Red Ball does all the work!! :)
4. I have always wanted to go to Aruba, but since the Natalee Holloway thing, I am reconsidering!
5. I love my dogs...ALOT!!!!!!!!!! Most of you know this about me, but I really LOVE them. They are just like little people. Mike is really out numbered around here and will be even more so when Channing gets here, because he is the only male in the house!!

I now tag Paula

Happy Birthday Con Man!!

Our precious little Connor is ONE today!! I can't believe how quickly time has passed. It just doesn't seem possible that you are already one! Last year on this very day we were anxiously awaiting your arrival at the hospital! Paula has a recap of our day so I won't go into it again, but boy were we happy to have you here...healthy, happy and handsome! We love you soo much and Arden can't seem to get enough of "her Conman." Happy Birthday precious one! You are soooo loved!

Am I dreaming???

Our first snow day??? Well, not actually, it's more like an ice day, but I will take whatever I can get. I was soooo excited to see Warren County TN CLOSED come across the screen this morning. I remember when I was a little girl, I would anticipate the snow days and watch The Ralph Emery Show with his sidekick Shotgun Red. Back then, there was no crawl across the bottom of the screen, so I had to wait and wait and wait until they were ready for Keith Filbry to do the Snowbird Report. I remember how happy I was then and nothing has changed! I got up this morning at 4:00 and began watching Channel 4, just as I did over 20 years ago!! If anyone else has any memories they would like to share, I would love to hear from you!!

Well, I may go back to sleep now, but I really doubt it. The dogs and I will curl up on the couch and relax until Arden wakes up! Then...who knows what we will do!

Keep flying Snowbird!!

Happy Birthday to my "sis"

Today is my cousin, Paula's, birthday! She is more like my sister than a cousin because we were both onlies growing up and just had each other. I love her more than she will ever know and admire her for all she does each day. She has more on her plate than anyone I know and still manages to volunteer for EVERYTHING!! I don't know how she does it. She is one of the most honest, kind, caring, compassionate, and giving people I know. She is always willing to put others before herself and never complains about anything. I hope she knows how much we love her and hope her day is wonderful!

Little Miss Valentine

Last night was the Morrison Ruritan's Little Miss Valentine Pageant. There were 29 little beauties and one of them was mine. Our little princess is now the 2008 Little Miss Valentine.
Arden has never been in a real pageant in her life. She has always said that they weren't for her and had no interest in them. But in the fall she and Andy Sliger were voted King and Queen by their Kindergarten class and I think this got her courage up a bit. So when the applications went out for this pageant, she insisted that she wanted to do it. I wasn't totally thrilled about it, but had decided that if she wanted to do it, then I wouldn't stop her.
Pageants have always made me nervous; even if I knew NO ONE in them. So I thought I would be a wreck before last night even got here. But much to my surprise, I held it together. Arden wasn't nervous at all and I think that helped me stay calm. I tried my best to make light of the whole thing and prepared her to go home empty handed. Each girl in the pageant received a goodie bag and a trophy, no matter what, so she wasn't concerned with winning, because in her eyes, everyone was a winner.
She did beautifully and was completely thrilled with just being in the top ten. Then when they began announcing the top 4, Mike and I got nervous...I mean really nervous!! And when they said contestant number 10, we almost passed out. WE COULDN'T BELIEVE IT!!! We are so proud of her and all of the little girls. It takes alot of courage to get up on a stage without your mommy and "perform". Congrats to all of the winners; you are beautiful!!!!

Here are a few pix from last night:

Happy Birthday Mike!

Today is my wonderful husband's birthday. He keeps telling everyone he is only 25, but I am blowing the whistle!! He is 32 today!! He doesn't look a day over 31, so I don't know why he feels the need to lie about his age. He is absolutely the best husband any girl could ask for. He works at Bridgestone, goes to school at Motlow and still has time for his family. He is dedicated to everything he does and always strives to be the best. I thank God for his love and admire him so much for all he does each day.
I took off today, so we could spend some time together and he took Arden to school for me, so I am going to clean house for a while. I, again, was hoping for a snowday, but as usual, that didn't happen!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE love you more than you know!
