The story of the "Hermit Crab" by Arden Cummins

Last night, Arden and I went to the beach and looked for shells. While searching, she found a very "special" shell and began to tell me a story about it. I began to video her but she had no clue!!! It is absolutely precious!! Take a look!

Day One...

Here are some pictures from today. We woke up to storms but by eleven o'clock, they were gone and we were sitting by the pool. Arden and I went to beach about 7:00 to check it out and we saw tons of dead jelly fish!! That is the only way I like to see them...DEAD! The beach is very empty this year; either people are waiting til later on in the week to travel or they aren't traveling at all because of gas prices! Keep checking back for updates!!! Love to my family!!!!!!!!

That Better???

My good buddy, Stephanie, did not like the original "sand" color I chose for the background on my blog, so I changed it. I agree, the original color was a little much!

Beach Bound...

“On vacations: We hit the sunny beaches where we occupy ourselves keeping the sun off our skin, the saltwater off our bodies, and the sand out of our belongings.”
Erma Bombeck

The time has come!!! We will be heading out to Gulf Shores in less than 24 hours!! This vacation has become a family/friend tradition. Every year, the week of the
4th of July, we all head out and spend 7 wonderful nights on the beach. It is something that I, honestly, don't think I can ever live without. The peacefulness, relaxation and times spent with our very best friends are priceless. I will be taking the laptop and hope to post pictures each day of our trip. This year will definitely be different for us because we have Channing, but she is such a good baby, I really don't anticipate any troubles. Carrie and Mike have already been arguing over who will stay in the condo with her more, so I have the babysitter thing covered!:)

I hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th!

This is sooooo true...See if you can relate.

I saw this last year on Dr. Phil (I think), but after seeing Paula's quote for the day, I had to grab it from YouTube and share it. If you haven't seen it before, then you are ready for a laugh because it is hilarious! This woman is the epitome of all mothers!! I totally know how she feels!! Go down to my music player and hit the pause button so you won't be distracted by John Fogerty!!:)

Happy 21st Birthday Kirby Chelle!!

Today is my wonderful cousin, Kirby's, 21st birthday! Wow, how time flies. I remember after she was born, mom and I would make many trips to Chattanooga to see her on the weekends. She was the first baby our family had seen in a long time and we couldn't get enough of her. She is my cousin, but we are much closer than most cousins. We are more like sisters. People who know us, know just how close all of us are, so it is hard for those who don't, to understand how much we all love each other and each other's kids. Kirby is just 21, but has always been much more mature than her age and is a wonderful mommy. I don't know what I would do without her! I love you and hope you have a wonderful day!

Mike and Channing

This morning, after getting home from work, Mike fed Channing for me while I got ready for church. He was so tired but still took the time to spend a few minutes with her before going to bed. When I got ready to get her dressed, I walked into the living room and saw them sitting in the relciner like this. They were both passed out! Mike works so hard at Bridgestone and still finds the time to put us before everything else! He is a wonderful daddy, husband and provider and I don't know what I would do without him. He is truly my better half!

Sleeping Beauties

I took this picture this morning while my girls were sleeping. I love Channing's mouth being wide open; that is a sign of a deep sleep! I got up to take a shower and when I got back, Arden had rolled over to snuggle with her sissy! How sweet is that???

Let's Play Ball...

Playing ball at Morrison is one of our favorite pass times in the summer, and it is also something Arden truly enjoys! She is an awesome player and really tries hard to do her best. At out last game, she got two triples and a double! We were so proud of her!! I am a little sad that the season is almost over, but I look forward to doing it all again next year. Here are a few pictures of our little slugger in action!

I've been tagged...TWICE!!

I got tagged by two people..... Paula Wanamaker & Brandie Mansfield!!! Thanks for choosing me to participate, even though I am way behind on posting! :)

MY 7 RANDOM; WEIRD FACTS:

1. I smell the clothes as I fold them. I know what they are going to smell like because I use the same detergent and fabric softener, but I still have to smell them every time!!!
2. I love having my house completely clean and can't relax until it is!!!
3. Ok, Paula said that she had never had a speeding ticket. Well, I am not so fortunate. It is a running joke around my house about my tickets. I honestly have had so many, I can't count. Thus why I don't think I will ever own a sports car.:)
4.I love, when I vacuum, to hear it sucking up stuff. I feel like I am actually doing some good when I can hear the crumbs etc. being sucked away!!
5. I cannot STAND FOR MY BREAD TO BE EVEN A TINY BIT mashed. You want to tick me off in a hurry??? Mess with my loaf of bread and that should do the trick.
6. I LOVE TiVO!! It has to be the best invention ever! I rarely watch a show when it actually airs. I will record it and then watch it so I don't have to watch the commercials!
7. The beach is my favorite place to be. We go every year to the same condo and I live for that trip. It is the most relaxing time in my life.

Now, I am supposed to tag seven people, but I think everyone has been tagged, so if you are reading this and haven't been tagged, consider yourself "tagged" by me!

My Baby Girl is One Month Old!

Yesterday was Channing's One Month Birthday! Wow...how time does fly by! It seems like I just came home from the hospital. Everyday she changes and becomes more precious to us. Before she was born and, even before we decided to get pregnant again, I could not imagine my life with another baby, but now I can't imagine my life without her. She definitely completes our family perfectly! Here is a picture from today!
